RAC Supports Emergency Responders On Frontline Of The Coronavirus Crisis
(Oxnard, California) – Reiter Affiliated Companies (RAC), the largest fresh multi-berry producer, reinforces their relentess pusuit to help enrich the communities where it operates by supporting emergency responders with a donation of materials.
As more people are tested, positive cases continue to rise in Ventura County. Healthcare administrators are preparing for a possible surge in cases by ensuring workers have the personal protective equipment (PPE) they require to be fully protected from the virus.
The Ventura County Office of Emergency Services recently put out a call for donations from the public, businesses and non-profit organizations. “We are facing an unprecedented public health emergency and the increasing demands of our health care system are contributing to shortages in personal protective supplies,” County CEO Mike Powers said in a statement.
In response, RAC donated 5,000 N95 masks to Ventura County Emergency Services. “RAC has a longstanding history of helping our communities,” said Eric Reiter, VP of CA Operations at RAC. “We are all overwhelmed with gratitude for our healthcare and emergency response workers during this incredibly difficult time, and we are doing what we can to help protect them. However, the need is tremendous, so it’s really a community-wide effort.”
As a family-owned farming company, RAC is guided by a strong commitment to enrich their communities. RAC hopes that through doing their part to support frontline workers, awareness will continue to spread and other organizations throughout Ventura County will donate as well.
