Position Purpose:

To provide leadership in our initiative to create and implement a strategic Philanthropy Program that provides opportunity through which the spirit and generosity of Reiter Affiliated Companies (RAC) can be fully expressed in our communities.
 .
Job Summary: 
.
The Philanthropy Program Manager will be responsible to create RAC’s Strategic Philanthropy Program working closely with management. This position will create a philanthropy program that strategically leverages our donations while ensuring consistency in funding practices within the identified areas of the Hispanic Communities where we do business to include regions in Mexico.
.
General Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to create RAC’s strategic philanthropy program working closely with management to identify charitable campaigns and ensure consistency in our funding practices
  • Negotiates levels of funding and partnerships with external and internal associates.
  • Work with RAC President initially to create a Donations Committee and help structure and transition to the new agreed upon philanthropic program. 
  • Create policies and procedures necessary to facilitate the efficient and consistent processing of funding requests and allocations
  • Administers matching programs working with external entities and non-profit agencies to maximize donation dollars
  • Develop and administer internal employee matching program by developing systems to track volunteer hours and employee donations.
  • Oversee the Fruit Donation program
  • Responsible for the budget and expenses of the matching and Fruit Donation programs
  • Communicate with RAC Management and employees about our program through policies, procedures, timelines, and program metrics
  • Meets with interested philanthropy partners, recipients, collaborators and stakeholder groups.
  • Ensures that the information on how to participate in RAC’s Philanthropy Program is easily accessible by stakeholders 
  • Convenes the committees and RAC leadership to review, revise and update the Philanthropy Program’s strategy and effectiveness. 
  • Accountable for developing measurable indicators of success. Track and report on the program metrics including sources and applications for funds.
  • Represent RAC in the community in a manner which demonstrates our values.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at charitable and non-profit organizations.
  • Able to travel and build relationships within the communities we do business. These include: Watsonville CA, Santa Maria CA, Oxnard CA, and Plant City FL.  In México they include: San Quintin, Baja California; Jocotepec, Jalisco and Zamora, Michoacán.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience with philanthropy and/or non-profit organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Ability to write and communicate operating procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to complete assignments independently
  • Willing to travel
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Bi-cultural with experience working with Hispanic communities in the US and abroad in Mexico
  • Candidate must also have the capacity to inspire, educate and mobilize people

POSITION PURPOSE
.
The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for multiple companies under the Reiter Affiliated Companies group. Accomplishes tasks with particular emphasis on customer service and seeks to add value for RAC managers.
.
DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
  • Applies cost accounting methods to achieve accurate representation of cost center performance.
  • Assist with annual budgets – prepares all allocations;
  • Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system.
  • Adheres to internal and external deadlines.
  • Distributes monthly comparison reports and cost center reports according to schedules.
  • Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
  • Reconciles monthly bank statements for multiple companies.
  • Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
  • Coordinates monthly crate inventory and reconciliations.
  • Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
  • Reviews accounts payables and weekly check runs.
  • Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Devises and implements methods for general accounting.
  • Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns. .

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three years of experience supervising personnel. Background in agribusiness, agriculture, or manufacturing is desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports and business correspondence; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computerized accounting software; strong Excel spreadsheet competency, fixed asset management software; Knowledge of data bases and word processing software.

$70-80K/year with annual bonus potential.
