PROGRAMMER

Oxnard, CA, Full-Time, Exempt

Position Purpose

Reiter Affiliated Companies, an International Berry Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Information System team.  We currently have a career opportunity available for a Programmer. 

The position will facilitate maintenance and upgrades of existing applications, code and administer general data base.

Job Summary

The programmer’s main task will be programming solutions as well as maintaining all technical aspects of existing software applications, which include: generation and support of source code, maintenance/implementation of new software and database infrastructure.  Great communication skills are required as this person will need to communicate with end users, determine requirements, write and interpret technical/functional specifications.  Directing of outsource programming groups will be required as well as interface within the IT department and outside application vendors.

Job Responsibilities

• MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 Experience (including TSQL, stored procedure and database design development)
• C# and ASP.Net 2.0 Development Experience
• SQL Server Integration Services Development (SSIS) Experience
• Familiarity with MS Windows scripting
• Experience with data warehousing
• Experience with different forms of electronic data interchange (EDI) or interfaces
• Microsoft CE or Mobile Development Experience

Job Qualifications 

• Experience with ERP software and business practices (Accounting, AP/AR, HR, GL etc.)
• Understanding of Oracle PL/SQL
• Familiarity with Delphi
• Great communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn and support new complicated applications
• Ability to translate user requirements or high level requirements documentation into detailed design specifications
• Extensive experience developing software applications

Education

BS Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Pluses

• Bilingual
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience leading software development teams
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Replication
• Understanding of Cognos environment
• Experience with DevExpress component suite (ASP.Net)
• Familiarity with the agricultural industry
