SENIOR FINANCIAL REPORTING ANALYST
Oxnard, CA, Full-Time Exempt
Position Purpose:
The position will play a critical hands-on role in consolidations, analyzing, and reporting on RAC’s financial results for internal and external use prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the accurate financial statements on a consolidated basis. Lead the completion of the monthly consolidation financial reporting package. The reporting package includes financial statements, key metrics, analysis and relevant commentary/narrative. Complete quarterly consolidated projects. Prepare year end audited consolidations, financial statements including footnotes, under GAAP, including international operations. Lead the annual review of the financial statements with outside auditors. This will include coordinating and responding to auditor’s requests and questions, along with the preparation of the consolidating schedules and analysis. Prepare Board and Management financial presentations, balance sheet and cash projections. Work with the IS department in the implementation of the new ERP system. Provide support to districts and departments in analyzing proper accounting treatment of transactions. Prepare 27 partnership and 4 corporation Sub-S tax return work papers. Also complete tax planning schedules as required. Assist in the development and lead the implementation of new and improved systems of reporting and financial analysis along with special projects and reports as required.
This person will report directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting and Tax Compliance. They will work with internal and external auditors regarding documentation and support for quarterly and yearly audit schedules. Exposure and contact with the Corporate Controller, Chief Financial Officer and the Executive Management Team, along with the finance/accounting personnel throughout the company.

Education and Experience Skill Sets Preferred:

Undergraduate degree with emphasis is Finance or Accounting, MBA a strong preference.

Strong computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and general ledger software.

CPA a must.

Strong current understanding of GAAP and stated accounting standards.

Accounting and financial reporting background – cost accounting, general ledger accounting, consolidated financial statement reporting and analysis.

5+ years experience with responsible financial roles focused on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting/analysis.

Corporate accounting in a public or private company with increasing experience and responsibility for the preparation of financial statements, including statements of cash flow.

Experience with a public accounting firm in the audit department preferred.

Exposure to improving the financial reporting process across multiple business units.

A strong understanding of corporation Sub-S and partnership tax a definite plus.

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus

The position will facilitate maintenance and upgrades of existing applications, code and administer general data base.
Job Summary
The programmer’s main task will be programming solutions as well as maintaining all technical aspects of existing software applications, which include: generation and support of source code, maintenance/implementation of new software and database infrastructure. Great communication skills are required as this person will need to communicate with end users, determine requirements, write and interpret technical/functional specifications. Directing of outsource programming groups will be required as well as interface within the IT department and outside application vendors.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Partnership Accounting Manager manages staff accountants and A/P departments as they relate to the service of the financial reporting and transactional accounting of the Watsonville District Partnerships. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for multiple companies under the Reiter Affiliated Companies group. Accomplishes tasks with particular emphasis on customer service and seeks to add value for RAC managers.
DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.

CANE BERRY RANCH MANAGER
Santa Maria District, Full-Time, Exempt
SCOPE OF THE POSTION:
Responsible for all production aspects of cane berry production program:

Creates yearly budgets for all organic and conventional raspberry and blackberry operations in the Santa Maria District. Assist with the annual capital budget that addresses our growth and takes into consideration sound economic reasoning when equipment is replaced

Clearly understands breakeven yields and prices; and the five business drivers as a result of the budget process for all supervised crops. Achieves or surpasses budgeted profitability. Able to clearly identify business driver variances and explanation for them.

Develops and nurtures skills for direct report supervisors that make them effective with production decisions, cost controls and labor management. Develops their job plans and bonus goals and manages this process. Influences and motivates the workforce to help us achieve profit goals.

Keeps in contact with Driscoll's through communication and interaction: Buyer Relations, New Variety Opportunities and Test Plot developments, Pick Sheet, Price Sheet, Driscoll's Estimate Report and Pay for Quality Program. Weekly and monthly review of comparative reports with District Manager including crop statements, Block Production and Variety Reports, WER's and accident reports. Proficient with understanding these reports and uses them to increase productivity minimize costs and maximize efficiencies.

Consults with successful cane berry ranch managers in the Company to find out what best practices are leading to Top Dog status. Avoids unproductive practices. Identifies, understands and implements best practices in pest control, plant nutrition and irrigation management in conventional and organic cane berry production. Seeks better way to help minimize non harvest and cultural labor costs.

Maintains the organic certification and is in compliance with labor laws and agricultural regulations, Global gap, Primus, Company Handbook Policies, Safety Programs and Reporting.

Keeps abreast and applies best growing practices for cane berries by communicating and collaborating with RAC growers, third party advisors; review of literature and other reliable information sources. Relies on best growing practices that are research, scientific and or time tested based. Implements best growing practices in addition to supervising field trials to observe changes in standard growing practices.

Responsible for the accurate gathering of production information and timely analysis of the information, to improve on farming decisions for the next planting cycle.

Manages supervised workforce. Assures and maintains an adequate amount of people for every job. Maintains a high safety standard and compliance with California Labor Laws.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Four years progressive experience as production manager in vegetable, fruit or greenhouse environment.

Experience should include supervising a work force involving scheduling of production activities, including planting, growing and harvesting perishable crops.

Bachelor of Science in Pomology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Soils, Hydrology and/or Agricultural Business/Economics.

English and Spanish bilingual.

Computer software skills with spreadsheets, database, email communication and internet research.

Clean DMV record. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
